Binge Now, Lose Later Mindset?

Nooooooo!

We’re well into the holiday season, so I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder that there are no “good foods” or “bad foods.” There are only “good patterns” (of eating) and “bad patterns.”

So if you’ve “fallen off the wagon,” and figured, hey…might as well keep rolling with it….think again.

Every moment is a new opportunity to start anew. There is nothing magical about Jan 1.

View holiday parties and tempting foods as OPPORTUNITIES to practice your new healthy relationship with food and your new healthy eating habits.

Jingle All the Weigh: A Few of My Favorite Holiday Party Tips

• Eat a little something before you go. A hungry person makes emotional decisions vs rational ones.

• Keep a glass or plate in your hands at all times to stave off food (or alcohol) “pushers.”

• Survey the buffet table before making any choices.

• Keep your back to the food table.

• Bring a dish you can eat.

• Remember it’s a “people event with food present,” not a “food event with people present.”

• And if you happen to indulge…or even over indulge… Call it a Vegetable and Move On
